About PCDSC

Founded in 2016 by Drs. Henry Docherty, Darshini Persaude and Jennifer Upitis who recognized the need for a forum for physicians practicing in dermatology to connect, learn and support each other.

We deliver webinars, workshops, and our annual conference. We provide relevant resources including practice tools at a discount to our members.  We have an active social media group for ongoing virtual discussion.

Our Goals
  1. Continue to provide a forum for family physicians working in dermatology and skin surgery to share ideas, exchange knowledge and learn new skills.
  2. Continue to deliver excellent dermatological educational events and content specifically curated for primary care physicians working in dermatology.
  3. To be a resource to community and academic family physicians in the area of primary care dermatology.
  4. To maintain and further develop strong collaborative relationships with the allied care providers of a patient’s dermatologic health team.
  5. To promote and improve dermatologic care of patients in rural, minority and marginalized communities.
  6. To develop strong collaborative relationships patient advocacy groups.
  7. Promote dermatology research by primary care providers in the primary care setting.
