Dear Society Members and Friends,
I am thrilled to share the achievements of our society in 2023, as we passionately pursued our mission of inspiring Family Physicians in dermatology. The Toronto conference, themed “Skin-focused, With a Wide Lens,” marked a milestone with its outstanding speakers, compelling content, and a positive energy that resonated among attendees. Special thanks to Dr. Natalie Skinner for her leadership in chairing the conference Scientific Planning Committee. I look forward to her upcoming role as Society President.
The debut of our modern new website in 2023 showcases our commitment to society education and connection. I  encourage all members to have their work contact information listed publicly in the physician finder and explore our private curated resources page for exclusive offers, job opportunities, CME events, recorded lectures, and virtual tools.
Looking ahead to 2024, mark your calendars for the live annual conference in Toronto on October 18th and 19th. We’re committed to hosting member-exclusive webinars as well as continuing the Rural Bursaries program in collaboration with HealthCert Australia. Our efforts to foster community and communication are evident in the growing private FaceBook group as well as our LinkedIn page.
As we approach the February 22nd Annual General Meeting, I am honoured to pass the torch of leadership to Dr. Natalie Skinner. Serving as your president for the past four years has been a privilege and a life-changing experience.  I extend my gratitude to the Board of Directors and our dedicated members for their unwavering support of the Primary Care Dermatology Society of Canada. Thank you to Sue Roberts and Sarah Anderson from Congress World for your continued dedicated hard work supporting our Society.
May we all continue to aspire to our vision of “Facilitating timely access to excellent dermatologic care for all Canadians.”
Warm regards,
Outgoing President
Yana Simice
